The Diary of a DS-Addicted Turtle
June 8th, 2006 Dear Diary, How's everyone enjoying AXA's 4th anniversary? Did you have fun on June 1st? I know I did. I was in the IRC chat room to talk to some of our users on the special day. That was fun! There were lots of games for all. For those of you who missed me that day, don't worry! I show up to chat every now and then. Be sure to say hi if you see me! Anyway, back to diary business. I was thinking the other day that I shouldn't really have to be a human in game. So here's a photo of how I would look if I was directly ported into Animal Crossing: Wild World. ![]() Anjou, AC:WWized That's actually not me, but a Walkie Bit, made by the same company that manufactured the Animal Crossing figures for the GCN, as well as the house AC:WWized me is hanging out in. Striking, isn't it? Oh, and notice that my ideal house has a blue roof. Take the hint, Jess. Ohhhhh yeah... I've been getting a lot of emails about the figures in my diaries. If you want more info, check out the toy page. So, today I decided to go fishing. You know that Tortimer, he's a sucker for fish. The way to his heart must be to catch a nice big one for him. I can't blame him--fish are yummy. I loooooove salmon, but it's not easy to catch in Animal Crossing: Wild World. It's a good thing that sea bass tastes okay, since that's all I seem to catch these days. Anyway, while I was walking along the beach, I stubbed my toe on something half buried in the sand. As you can guess, I hissed (the proper turtle reaction to anything mean, nasty, or unfortunately placed in my way) and ran away. From a distance, I could see the sun reflecting off a shiny surface, so I returned to see what it was. It turned out to be a bottle...with a message in it! I was so excited to see it. ![]() Finding the Bottle Well, I just had to pick it up and see what it said. It wasn't for me, (at least, I don't think) but it was pretty funny. Would you like to see what it said? ![]() The Message in the Bottle Yuck, who could eat so many turnips? I guess if you were really hungry... but honestly, fish taste better. I'd much rather play the Stalk Market than eat my profits. Heh heh heh. Have you ever gotten a silly note in a bottle? Better yet, do you know who keeps sending these things? Jess says that she finds one every now and then, but they're almost never signed. What's the point of sending a message if you don't want anyone to know who you are? Yeesh. Hopefully, no one's stuck on an island in the middle of nowhere...! That could be bad if I got their only message and they neglected to let me know where they were... After I found the bottle, I resumed fishing. It must have been a lucky bottle, because look what I caught! ![]() Catch of the Day That broke the sea bass chain for me. I think I'll bread and fry this Snapper with some shallots and potatoes, just for Tortimer. Perhaps I'll bring some candles and wine and make an evening of it too, hmm? Hey... wait... Tortimer's on vacation this week? Oh nooooooooooooooo.....! Oh yeah. Want to write to me? Send an email to axawebsite@megadoomer.com. All mail with "Anjou" in the subject line gets forwarded to my tank. For now, turtle out! |
